How to Become a Team Captain or Manager on Cric Squad

Run your club on Cric Squad: create your team, invite your players, name your captain and enter tournaments, all from one team dashboard.

On Cric Squad, captains and managers are players with extra powers for their team. There's no separate sign-up. You register as a player first, then either create a team or get a role in one.

Step 1: Register as a player. Follow the steps in Blog 02 and verify your email.

Step 2: Create your team. On your Player Dashboard, open My teams → Create a team (or click Create Your Team on the home page).

Enter the team name, an optional short name (e.g. KPS), your village or town and an optional logo.
Leave "I captain this team too" ticked if you are the captain.
Click Create team.

You are now the team's Manager, and its Captain if you ticked the box.

Is your club already on Cric Squad? Use Find teams and ask to join instead. A duplicate team splits your matches and statistics in two.

Step 3: Open your Team Dashboard. Click Team dashboard in the left menu, or the green team button at the top of your Player Dashboard. From there you can:

Squad: see your players; name the captain, vice-captain and other managers;
Player Invitations and Approvals: invite players and accept join requests;
Captain Permissions: decide what your captain is allowed to do;
Fixtures and Matches: see upcoming games and pick your playing XI;
Team Availability: see who is available for each match;
Tournament Registration: enter your team into tournaments;
Team Statistics: wins, losses and win rate.

Joining an existing team as captain? Ask the team's manager to make you captain from their Squad screen. The Team dashboard link then appears in your menu automatically.
